Of Purchases & Boiled Food
Gin and Alex from the Penang branch of Ragnarokites came-a visiting so dinner was an endless supply of raw food to be dunked into a giant bowl of other dunked food. STEAMBOAT! Sorta like donuts and a huge cup of coffee. It was some place in Sunway near the whore-house and the food was not too bad, conversation light and friendly and of course the HIGHLIGHT, 2 underaged female RO members!
I don't what to feel when here I am, at a dinner table with 10+ other 22 year old guys and POOF! In between we have two itty bitty ladies. Both younger than my sister. For a reason, which might be purely me myself and I, it was weirdish in some ways. Whats more surprising is the freedom they're given to go out hang. Why, IF I had a daughter and she was off galivanting with 15 other old farts, GOD I'll kick up a fuss! Haha. Not that dinner wasn't fun, it was. After dinner, the whole lot decided to go yummchar at Subang. Its funny how Malaysian culture revolves around food places. Its a no-fail business I tell you!!
Also spent a lot of money today buying stuff,....
Amongst them, 3 DVDs
Tokyo Godfather's (Anime DVD), Shutter (Horror), Exorcist : The Beginning (Horror... duh!)
and I went throught the Fiction section of Pay Less Books in Atria Damansara. Why pay more for books when you can have them for less? I'm not being commissioned to plug the store but its so true.
Jack McDevitt's Eternity Road (Sci-Fi)
Tale set in the far future where Chaka follows her brother's footsteps in looking for a lost civilization. From what I read from the back, its mankind rediscovering (our time). Our cities are their ruins, our roads are objects of mystery to them and so forth. Looks like a good read.
R.A.Salvatore's Starless Night (Fantasy)
Book 2 of the Legacy of the Drow, set in the Forgotten Realms about the dark elf hero Drizzt Do'Urden. Apparently he goes back into the Underdark (the Dark Elf homeland) and kicks some ass there. I was just missing this part to complete my Drizzt collection. Whoohoo!
Neil Gaiman's Neverwhere (Just plain weird genre)
I'm not too sure what genre this book falls into but its about a good guy that finds a world far below the surface. And like what every other person that finds a potentially hazardous place, this good guy goes exploring. How dumb can you get? Well I'll tell you after i finish this.
PS; On a side note, I have left the RO community for good since 2003. I am now a strict WORLD OF WARCRAFT or occasionally a GUNBOUND player. Don't ask me about slotted manteaus or zeny, I will kill you.
